This Churchmouse Classic was inspired by some of our most beloved patterns! This gorgeous poncho has the effortless wearability of the (forever a favorite), the smart seamlessness of our , and the beautifully mitering diagonals of our at the neck and hem. Timeless and elegant, this piece is also wonderfully cozy and comfortable.

We knit the Seamless Poncho in collaboration with Madelinetosh, choosing their 100% upcycled wool, ! Soft to the touch, easy to care for, this sport-weight yarn makes a lightweight, yet warm poncho. And those hand-dyed colors are so lovely!

This 4-page pattern includes:

The Details

FINISHED SIZES
Poncho: Approx. 25"/63.5cm across x 22"/56cm deep, folded.
Cowl neck: Approx. 24"/61cm around x 8"/20cm tall.

YARN
5 skeins (327 yds/300m each); shown in Color Glazed Pecan.
Or approx. 1490 yds/1362m of an equivalent sport-weight yarn.

NEEDLES
US 4 (3.5mm) 24"/60cm circular, or size to obtain gauge.
US 3 (3.25mm) 24"/60cm circular and 16”/40cm circular needles, or one size smaller than gauge needle.
US D/3 (3.25mm) crochet hook and smooth fingering-weight waste yarn for provisional cast-on.
1 stitch marker.
3 locking markers.
Darning needle to finish.
Blocking wires and T-pins or forked blocking pins.

GAUGE
Approx. 22 sts/34 rows = 4"/10cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking and resting.
Note: It’s best to swatch both flat and in the round; you may need two different needle sizes to get gauge for each section.
